Project finance & lender partnerships lead

Bengaluru · Hybrid

India's energy transition needs more than $50 billion of capital a year, and lenders decide which projects get built and how fast. Today a financier usually joins after the IPP and the C&I buyer have agreed terms. We want lenders on the same platform, working from the same numbers, from the start. You will build that, as the first hire in our financing business.

WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Bring banks, NBFCs and DFIs onto the platform, with deal flow worth their time and early visibility into each project.
  • Take modelled projects to financial close: the structure, the lenders, the term sheet and the documents.
  • Decide what a credit committee needs to see from our models, and work with the founders to build it into the product.
  • Build financing into a revenue line: how we price it, and how it scales as project volume grows.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years in infrastructure or renewable energy project finance.
  • Lender relationships you can call on directly.
  • You build financial models yourself and can defend them in a credit committee.
  • You have taken deals from term sheet to financial close.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian renewable energy regulation: open access, banking, ToD tariffs and group captive.
  • You are comfortable in an early-stage company, setting your own priorities without a support team.

Power systems & SCADA engineer

Bengaluru · Hybrid

You have worked with SCADA, EMS or historian systems, and you can write code. You will start on dispatch and market economics. As ES Operate moves closer to the plant, you will help design the real-time layer.

WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Own how plant and market data is modelled: the asset model, time series and timezone handling, so it holds up with sub-hourly plant data.
  • Build dispatch and scheduling logic, and the checks that catch a bad schedule before it is submitted.
  • Bring hands-on operational experience to the product team.
  • Help design the telemetry architecture early, before it is hard to change.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience running or building on SCADA, EMS or historian systems for a real fleet.
  • You are comfortable writing code and working in a shared codebase.
  • Practical experience dealing with data quality problems.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Forecasting or scheduling against a wholesale market.
  • Experience across both plant operations and market-facing systems.

Energy & policy expert

Bengaluru · Hybrid

Power markets, PPAs, storage economics and the regulations that govern them. You will make sure the assumptions in our models are accurate, and catch results that look right but are not.

WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Own the assumptions in our models: tariffs, open access, waivers, obligations, deviation settlement and recent regulatory orders.
  • Work out how new regulation affects the product, and how urgently it needs to change.
  • Review outputs before they reach customers.
  • Write market analysis for customers, and help shape what our forecasting product tells them.
  • Work alongside engineering as models are built, so assumptions are captured correctly in the code.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in power markets at a developer, utility, consultancy, regulator or trading desk.
  • You can explain why a number is wrong, not just spot that it is.
  • You are comfortable saying a model is not ready.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Published work, such as a paper, report or market note.
  • Storage and hybrid project economics.
  • Knowledge of US wholesale markets as well as India.

Go-to-market & Founder's Office

Bengaluru · Hybrid

Build and manage our sales pipeline: which customers we target, how we size each opportunity, and how we position the product. You will also take on Founder's Office work, which changes with what the business needs each month.

WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Run the pipeline from identifying prospects through to closing deals.
  • Write outreach, decks and follow-ups. Much of this role is writing.
  • Join customer calls and turn feedback into clear input for the product team.
  • Keep the CRM accurate, so the numbers we report are reliable.
  • Take on Founder's Office projects as they come up: board materials, partnerships, hiring.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience selling or fundraising with technical buyers.
  • You write clearly and quickly.
  • You are comfortable owning a revenue target.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in energy, climate or infrastructure.
  • Early-stage experience where you set up the sales process yourself.

Forward-deployed engineer

Bengaluru · Hybrid

An engineering role that starts from a customer's problem rather than a ticket. You solve it using our product, then build whatever the product is missing. The work spans the application, the models behind it, our AI tooling and the infrastructure it runs on.

WHAT YOU’D DO

  • Take customer problems from start to finish: solve them with the product, and build the features that were missing.
  • Work across the stack as needed: back end, data, front end and models.
  • Build AI tooling, both for internal use and for the product.
  • Own the deployment and infrastructure for what you build.
  • Join customer calls where your work is used, and fix what does not hold up.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong software engineering skills. You can work in whichever language the problem needs.
  • You can take an unclear problem to a finished result without a detailed spec.
  • You learn new domains quickly. Energy experience is not required.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience building with LLMs: agents, tool use, evaluation.
  • Data science, forecasting or optimisation.
  • Docker, cloud infrastructure, CI or data orchestration.
  • Experience in energy or climate.
